Thank you Stefanie for nominating us for the “Blogging with a Purpose” award! 😉 I got to know Stefanie through her blog that chronicles her family’s journey of adopting three and soon to be four precious children from China. She also has four biological children. Talk about an inspiration! I first wrote to her last fall and we became email friends.
Here are our five nominees for this award:
Tracie Loux is an awesome mom and adoption advocate in Kansas City. She has recently adopted a little baby, and is a prayer missionary along with her husband at the International House of Prayer. I’m so thankful to have met Tracie via email and hope to one day meet her in person!
Kimmie is a friend I met recently in the blogging world who is a big inspiration as well. She has one biological child and five adopted, with room in her heart for more! She is full of encouragement for the homeschooling mom, and I think its neat that she has a real barn!
Randy Bohlender is one of our all-time favorite bloggers. Among other things he and his wife Kelsey are prayer missionaries and administrators in Kansas City, at the International House of Prayer, and with the Call. Randy is a witty person and a gifted writer. It’s always fun to read about what’s going on with the Bohlender household. They have three amazing boys, and a little girl named Zoe who came to them via the miracle of adoption. We recommend you have a listen to their amazing adoption testimony (Kelsey speaking at a conference in 2006):

Wayne Jacobsen is one who “wanders the world helping people sort out what Jesus really taught about life in his Father and in relational community with other believers.” Wayne is kind and humble and has an amazing testimony of walking with God, and he is a wonderfully gifted writer. He has encouraged us greatly through his books and writings. Right now Wayne is raising awareness through his blog about the current crisis in Kenya, and they have raised $6000 so far to help families in need. Todd especially recommends a powerful book that Wayne recently helped edit and get published called The Shack.
Heather Ballis is a sincere and sweet person with an amazing photography gift and we just love her. She is currently a prayer missionary helping to start a house of prayer in Cincinnati South Florida! 😉
